Ashley likes her desserts like she likes her men: not too rich, not too sweet, and unbelievably delicious.
If she had to be alone on a deserted island with only one dessert, it would be pie. There is no other dessert that makes her feel more satisfied, more delighted, and more American than a slice of pie. And she will find that perfect pie, no matter what it takes.
Aside from pie, she is a cookie connoisseur and enjoys a good cheesecake. However, she has never (and will never) be on the cupcake bandwagon. Perhaps that is why she is such a valuable member of the Cupcake Quest, it is incredibly difficult for her to give any cupcake a perfect five, they all taste like dried out wanna-be-cake pieces with frosting right out of a shortening canister.
If you know of any good dessert places that will help Ashley find a dessert that contains the perfect balance of butter, sugar, cream, chocolate, fruit, and nuts - all in one bite, please advise. She also likes to be surprised. So if you know anywhere that offers a whacky yet out of this world combination you never thought possible, send those her way too.
